The sleep surface is upholstered on both sides with bonded Platinum Certified British fleece wool and cotton—1,350gsm against the ticking—ensuring a dry, breathable feel as moisture is drawn away from the body and released into the air across temperature shifts through the night.

Beneath, a second layer of blended Platinum Certified British fleece wool and cotton adds depth without introducing synthetic materials. The 1,716 hand-nested vanadium steel pocket springs in a King size are individually encased in breathable calico cotton, so each spring responds to localised weight without transferring movement across the bed. The border is upholstered with protective wool and finished with two rows of hand side-stitching to firm the perimeter and extend the usable sleep surface, while hand-tufting with felt washers anchors the fillings at regular intervals to prevent shifting over time.
